About the Syndicate
Welcome to the Star City Syndicate — a group of Maine-based musicians with wildly different day jobs who come together to celebrate the sounds of Motown, classic pop, soul, and everything since.
We started in 2016 when a few friends who had been talking for years about forming a Motown band with a real horn section finally picked a Tuesday night and showed up. Teachers, ministers, principals, store owners, law enforcement officers, postal workers, military veterans, and students have been turning up ever since.
With multiple lead singers and a full horn section, we play festivals, town celebrations, fundraisers, and anywhere else in Aroostook County that has room for a dance floor.
