Sean Diette is the Swiss Army knife of musicians. If you watch the Limestone music teacher closely during a performance, you’ll notice him quietly stepping in to play a flawless flute solo in Van Morrison’s “You Just Steal My Heart Away” and then quickly strapping his bari sax back on to provide the resounding thump of Edwin Starr’s “War.” A founding member of the Syndicate, Sean and his wife Sarah also perform with The County Combo and Sean is often featured in The Aroostook River Voices. The list of instruments he plays is too long to include here, but scuttlebutt has it that if Sean were ever handed a rusty pipe and a rubber band for a reed, he could make it sing like a songbird.
