Doug Cronkhite was created to be in a Motown band. A founding member of both the Syndicate and another well-known local band called Common Crossing, Doug is an adept performer whose passion and talent bring his bands to a whole new level. Although he had never played the congas before the Syndicate’s first rehearsal, he soon discovered an innate feel and deft touch for them that propels songs like Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” and The Heavy’s “How You Like Me Now?” into grooves that shake an entire crowd. In performances, he can usually be found leading the band once more into the breech with his microphone and a tambourine. A force to be reckoned with, Doug is the heart and soul of The Star City Syndicate.
